Bonjour everyone! I have some really
exciting news today. The cover for my first novel, Sleeping with Paris, has arrived! The very talented Laura Morrigan
created this gorgeous cover for me, and I absolutely adore it.
So, without further
ado . . . Voilà !
But it's even more than that. Anyone
who has ever had a dream and has worked hard to make it happen understands what
I'm feeling right now. It's the point where all of that hard work is about to
come full circle, and you are right on the verge of seeing your dreams become a
reality. (And, let's be honest, with writing, sometimes getting that circle to
swing back around in your direction can take a very long time!)
All of those late nights, early
mornings and weekends spent writing and finally a book is going to be
published. It's a wonderful, exhilarating feeling, and for any of you who are working
toward a dream, whether it is to publish your first book or to open your own
business or to create a lifestyle where you spend your days doing what you
love, I encourage you to keep going! No
matter what, don't give up. Don't let the naysayers get to you. Someone will
always be there to tell you that what you're doing is silly, impractical,
outrageous even. But are they running the show? Of course not. They're just a
roadblock to your show . . . and
that's only if you let them be.
So, put in the work and make your dream
happen. You only get one shot at this life thing, so there are really no
excuses.
Okay, enough with the cheesy motivating
for today:) Don't worry though, I'm sure to have an even cheesier post when the
book is actually released this fall!
Thanks for stopping by and checking out
Sleeping with Paris' new do!
P.S. Charlotte Summers, the main
character in Sleeping with Paris, will
be back next week to kick off her spicy advice column. So if you have any
questions about dating, love, relationships, getting over your ex, etc, please

Me tab to your left. And men, do you need a little insight into the female
mind? She's happy to answer your questions too!

ReplyDeleteYou said it--the cover somehow makes the dream concrete. Congratulations on achieving yours. When Charlotte Summers gets her advice column up, please tell her Lord Valentine Windham ("The Virtuoso" Nov. 2011) would like her insights on when a man knows he's in love... as opposed to when he knows he'd merely like to sample a lady's charms (again). I think his question is sincere...
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Grace! I will definitely put your question in for Charlotte. It's a good one! She'll be giving advice later this week. Thanks again:)
